Avoiding Entrapment

• Side Wedges SW Side wiedges with draw sheet. This new method of preventing a patient from falling out of bed requires NO RAILS. A draw sheet attaches to the mattress with quick release buckles. Along each side of the bed is a broad 10cm hook & loop strip. On to the strip fixes a 20cm high wedge 90cm long. The draw sheet & the wedges are covered in Vapour Permeable wipe clean fabric – Cotton drawsheet is also available. The patient is able to get out of the bed without the entrapment problem of rails but is also protected from the 'Roll Out'. Also available – full length drawsheet with extra pair of wedges.

Our latest cotside bumpers incorporate a highly permeable base sheet which connects the 2 cotside bumbers and forms a safety net to prevent limbs falling through under the rails.

The Basic wipe clean bumper has a foam inner and full length hook and loop fastenings along the bottom edge. Specification: A rounded foam pad covered in wipe clean material 'clips' onto the top of rail and a strong clear PVC panel closes the spaces between the side rails. The protectors are held firmly in place by 3 or 4 vertical hook and loop straps, depending on the length: 135cm – 183cm – 200cm.

Extra Secure Model has a net which passes under the mattress and connects the two side panels together, thus closing the gap between the rails and the bed frame.
